While Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, but whenever he put his hand down, Amalek prevailed. When Moses’ hands grew heavy, they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat down on it. Then Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other so that his hands remained steady until the sun went down. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his army with the sword.
Exodus 17:11-13 HCSB
I’m so blessed, Lord.
So blessed to know that I do not walk this journey alone.
Blessed to know the friendship of other believers.
Sharing life… together.
Sharing prayers… together.
It’s a mystery…
When we come together in Your Name— Jesus!
You are there in our midst. Think of that!
All of our differences—great and small—come together in You.
One spiritual body with new meaning and purpose.
Your arms and Your legs walking together in Heavenly strength
Bringing Your Light to a world in need.
Lord, our scars, our experiences,
Our abundance and need,
We’ll always have enough because Your provision and love overflows!
We are so blessed, Lord.
But do we know it? Do we really understand what we have?
Forgive us, Lord, for forgetting.
Help us remember the selfless sacrifice You made so that we could truly be one, especially in perilous times.
You gave Your life for all of us.
Lord, open our eyes to recognize our brothers and sisters— our everlasting family!
Let’s break bread together and lift our voices in praise,
One mighty chorus of Hallelujahs rising to Your throne
Your children—at last!— together.
Making You smile.
