You are moving, Lord.

Your Word is springing up across our dry land. Like springs of Living Water, it breaks through the parched earth to water those who walk the dusty soil.

I see the small signs. Blooms of color winning the fight against thorny, rocky soil. They (Your people) are beautiful wildflowers on barren paths. I see them.

We’ve been praying, Lord. We’ve been longing for daybreak.

Golden orange color breaks the night on the eastern horizon. The fountains of the earth are rising!

You, Lord, in your wisdom, have hidden trees in dry places, with roots grown deep to the hidden streams. Their roots that have never left these waters. They are strong and nourished and ready to comfort the places desperate for water.

I see a turning back to the Word of God and to Jesus. You’ve placed a longing for eternity into our hearts. We have been longing for the things of God to return. The Shepherd is leading us home!

We’ve been praying, Lord, reminding You of Your precious promises. Our spirits have been longing for Your truth, Jesus. We need the hope ―like Water that only You can give― to refresh our weary souls.

The enemy has been loud, his incessant shouting has deafened our ears to hear Your call.

But no more.

Living Water is bubbling up in dry places.  The prayers of the hidden ones are interceding for Your will to be done on earth. You hear. You listen. You respond even now!

I see the evidence of Your hand lifting us up.
I see Your provision meeting our need.
I see answers to our prayers in the night.

I see it in the subtle hints of hope on the faces of a young generation about to step into their place. A great and glorious place.

Do you see it too?

I see it when I visit my daughter on her college campus and hear of students who are seeking Truth, even when many would lead them astray.

I hear the name of Jesus lifted up, once softly, but louder now. My spirit jumps in expectation of its power and authority, mercy and grace.

The enemy tried to shout Truth down. “Be silent!” he hissed. But no more! We’ve been silent too long.

Prayer is changing things.

Keep watching, keep waiting, and always, keep praying that we may see Your goodness in this land, the Land of the Living.

Let the praises ring out now, sing them loud! The signs are here! Living water is rising!

Do you see it too? Rejoice!

To God be the glory!

I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.

Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
