If you have ever doubted the “God call” on your life, this true short story will encourage you that God uses ordinary people for extraordinary tasks.
It’s incredible to know God speaks to us today and as believers in Jesus, we can receive a special word or task. So incredible, in fact, that we sometimes doubt it.
God-Inspired writing vs. Popular Writing: When your writing is God-inspired there’s a good chance He will lead you to shake things up and write about a subject that isn’t popular. His ways, after all, are not our ways.
Speaking out is risky, but now more than ever people need to hear about Jesus and the truth of the Bible. Allow the Holy Spirit to show us how and when to speak out in today’s culture. We need to understand the authority we have in Jesus.
Has God given you a dream that seems impossible to achieve? If you have a God-sized dream of doing something amazing, I wrote “When God Gives a Dream: Reaching Your Impossible Dream in God’s Power,” just for you, and I’m giving it away right now.
Living Water is bubbling up in dry places. The prayers of the hidden ones intercede for Your will to be done. You hear! You listen! You respond! I see the evidence of Your hand lifting us up. Your provision meeting our need. Your answers to our prayers in the night.
There’s something sweet about that gospel message. It opens the doors of our hearts to let in a great Light that can never be put out.
Sometimes God gives us a dream. A wonderful, amazing dream. Maybe it’s a dream to do something unique, something special for God: A call to sing, or to write a book, or start a ministry. It could be something personal, like the dream of having children, or embarking on a fulfilling career, or marrying a spouse that qualifies as a bonafide “soul mate.” Has God whispered a special dream to you?
Did you know that God wants to share wonderful revelations with His children? This is true for parents, college students, grandparents, men, women, and children who are sincerely seeking direction from the Lord. Here, I share my personal method of hearing God speak through a journaling process that I call “Attentive Journaling,” and no, there’s nothing New Age-y about it! It’s simply a process of praise, prayer, listening in a quiet time, then honoring God by journaling what the Holy Spirit gives to me.
The Lord prepares a Place of Promise for his children… a Promised Land. It’s the place where God’s provision flows. It’s a place of great peace. A place of steady joy. It’s there for us, but we won’t just walk into it.
